The opening of a museum dedicated to Dr. Seuss aims to explain the importance behind the author’s works for all generations of individuals.
The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss in Massachusetts will showcase rare belongings of Theodor Geisel, the real name of the famous children’s author and illustrator.
Interactive exhibits for younger visitors, including games and climbable statues from popular Dr. Seuss books, will also make up the museum.
While the museum will not feature the author’s propaganda and political illustrations from World War II, the exhibitions will educate visitors on the beloved author’s life and inspirations.
“To know that he’s going to be here permanently, safe, protected, that people who want to know more are going to make this trip here to see him, it’s perfect,” explained Geisel’s stepdaughter Leagrey Dimond.
