The nonprofit, Girls Who Code (GWC), has launched a program called “Hire Me” to create a “talent pipeline” for their graduates to land jobs in the tech industry. The program will consist of an alumni network to connect recent graduates to graduates already employed in the industry and will work with big companies like Twitter, Adobe, AOL, Microsoft, IBM and more to offer paid internships specifically to GWC’s women graduates. This initiative is a great achievement for GWC, which will graduate 10,000 female computer science professionals by the end of 2015.
