The Getty Foundation and Rothschild Foundation have paired up in an annual fellowship for art history conservation.
The fellowship will support conservation of visual around from all over the world and ample research in the sector.
Furthermore, the new fellowship “will support innovative scholarship in the history of art, collecting, and conservation, using the collection and resources of both institutions,” the founders stated, as reported by The Art Newspaper.
Its first recipient is former scientist for The National Gallery, and current Vice President of the International Institute for Conservation, David Saunders.
