The nonprofit newsroom ProPublica is calling on all journalism college students of color for an opportunity to join the Emerging Reporters Program. Along with a $9,000 stipend for each student, the program equips students with mentoring and trips to the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Programming.
The program aims to develop more journalists of color since the pool of current journalists is mostly made up of white males. ProPublica offers five underprivileged journalism students of color the opportunity to develop their skills and join the investigative world.
Applications are due by September 08, 2019. Check out more details here.
