The University of Houston announced that it received a $50 million donation from an anonymous donor – it’s “single largest gift in history.”
The funds will be put toward endowed professorships, according to university officials, and will help the university to draw in more competitive faculty.
According to ABC13, the donor asked the university to try to fundraise to match the donation, leading to a billion-dollar future. Furthermore, the donor is said to be a CEO known for his philanthropy.
